Ever zone out while viewing a Snap and totally miss something good? Until now, Snapchat only let you reply one Snap a day, but that's about to change.
Snapchatters in the U.S. can now purchase extra replays, starting at three for $0.99. You can use a replay on any Snap you receive, but you can only replay any snap once — so be sure you're paying attention the second time around.
"A Replay is like a compliment! So why stop at just one?" Snapchat wrote in a blog post. "They're a little pricey — but time is money!"
The new feature comes after Snapchat first introduced the replay feature almost two years ago. The company said the limit of one replay a day has sometimes frustrated users, so it's now hoping you'll open your wallet for more.
Besides paid replays, the update brings a fun new feature for jazzing up your selfies. When you're using the camera to take a selfie, press and hold on your face to activate Lenses.
"You can play with Lenses before taking a Snap — just select one from the row at the bottom and follow the on-screen instructions!" Snapchat wrote. "You'll also find some fun surprises in this update, including Trophies (tucked above the camera)."
Meanwhile, Snapchat had a busy summer adding new features. The company last month introduced Travel Mode to help you save mobile data and in July took some of a friction out of viewing Snaps and Stories by letting you tap to view instead of press and hold.
