Wednesday marked 20 years since the original PlayStation launched in North America, and Sony is celebrating the occasion with huge discounts for gamers.
More than 100 titles for the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and PSP are available for up to 70 percent off, including Diablo III: Reaper of Souls — Ultimate Evil Edition, Red Dead Redemption: The Undead Collection, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Syphon Filter, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare — Digital Pro Edition, and many more. PS Plus members will, of course, enjoy even steeper discounts — up to 80 percent off.
"Party like it's September 9th, 1995, but don't wait too long — our 20th Anniversary Sale ends Monday, September 14th," Sony said. "Thanks for 20 years of greatness, guys."
Head over to the PlayStation Store to browse all the discounted titles by console. The sale also includes discounts on PS Classics like Tomb Raider, Touchdown Fever, Tekken 2, P.O.W. Prisoners of War, Bermuda Triangle, Gang Wars, Gold Medalist, and many more.
Meanwhile, for a blast from the past, you can now add the original PS boot up screen to your PS4 gameplay videos. Sony on Wednesday launched a 20th Anniversary theme pack for SHAREfactory, its video editing tool for PS4. The pack includes 4 retro intros, 4 outros, 11 title clips, 8 custom transitions, 26 stickers, and 4 background images. It's available for free on the PlayStation Store in North America.
